Auto Body

Automotive parts, body materials, and electronics continue to change and become more complex and technologically advanced. Auto body repair and refinishing technicians are trained in the highly technical and complex skills that are required to repair cars made of sheet metal, aluminum, steel, fiberglass and plastics. Technicians perform frame straightening; metal correction, analysis, repair and replacing; spray painting; and oxyacetylene, electric and MIG welding. Refinishing and customized paint finishing are also becoming increasingly more technical with the introductions of new products and systems necessary for restoring automobile finishes.
